Computer Science Lab Rules
These guidelines will be strictly enforced in this lab. Failure to follow
these guidelines may result in detention or losing your computer
privileges.
- These are not your personal computers -- they belong to the school district.
Because they are used for a variety of classes, and by a great number of students,
you must respect the setup of each computer. Do not personalize it to your
preferences -- the next person may have different preferences. We'll use standard
colors, backgrounds, etc. Do NOT change them.
- Follow
TCSD network and Internet guidelines
(Note that the School District guidelines prohibit
playing games, sending email (unless as part of a class activity), and using
chat rooms. This includes using "Instant Messenger" services)
- Do not download or view inappropriate sites, pictures, etc. If you
have to ask whether it is inappropriate, it probably IS.
- Do not listen to music or watch videos over the Internet, unless it is specifically
assigned as a classroom activity. This "hogs" the District's feeder
line, and can slow down Internet access for the entire school district.
- Do NOT (and I mean NEVER) download program files, music files (.mp3s) Internet
utilities, or other "cool stuff" unless you have specific permission
from Mrs. Sanchez
- Pay attention to where you store your wor. (usually your own network
folder). I am not responsible for lost work!
- NEVER copy, move, or delete computer files that are not your own
- Tell me if you have problems with your computer, or notice anything "weird"
about how it is working.
- No earphones in class -- at any time, unless supplied by Mrs. Sanchez.
If you choose to use headphones and/or listen to a personal music player,
I will confiscate them. You may retrieve them from Mrs. Weaver.
- No food or drink in classroom
